Change My Burger, Change My Chi

Daylight Savings time can’t come a moment too soon for my family. When the sunlight starts appearing earlier in the day, it’s a signal to my kids to get up earlier … that doesn’t work for me. I rely on those dark hours before anyone rises to get a jumpstart on my work for the day.

FYI - this Sunday, March 8, is daylight saving time and you set your clocks ahead one hour, if you live in an area that practices this.

I am not the only one excited about the springing ahead of the clocks. Arby’s, the fast food joint, is excited about change too…except they want you to change your burger. The company has unveiled a new marketing campaign to encourage people to trade their greasy fast food burgers for Arby’s Roastburger sandwiches (read: roast beef sandwiches).

In fact, they are so excited that the company is offering free Roastburger sandwiches with the purchase of a drink to customers who say they want to change their burgers. That’s on March 8 only though.

“At Arby’s, we know it can be hard to spring forward and lose an hour from our already jam-packed weekends,” said Jason Abelkop, Senior Vice President, Marketing & National Media, Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. “With this giveaway, we hope people will be able to spend less time in the kitchen and break out of their greasy fast food burger ruts by changing to our new Roastburgers.”
The Roastburger sandwiches are available in three varieties (details about the offer below too):

All-American: thinly sliced, oven roasted roast beef topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard, and a secret sauce served on a toasted specialty roll.
Bacon and Bleu Cheese: thinly sliced, oven roasted roast beef topped with pepper bacon and bleu cheese spread, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion served on a toasted specialty roll.
Bacon and Cheddar: thinly sliced, oven roasted roast beef topped with pepper bacon and cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, tomato and onion served on a toasted specialty roll.

Free Roastburger sandwiches will be available Sunday, March 8, with purchase of drink, at participating Arby’s locations nationwide.  Customers who come in and say they want to change their burger can select one sandwich from any of the three Roastburger varieties.  The offer is limited to one per person, while supplies last.
