Morton’s Opening in Indian Wells, California

I used to work very close to a Morton’s The Steakhouse. I can’t say I ever tried it though (a little too pricey for my budget these days). But I’ve heard that they are pretty good.

Well, there’s a new Morton’s The Steakhouse (isn’t that name a little much?) location set to open in California. The restaurant is slated to be in the Indian Wells Town Center in Indian Wells. At 8,000 square feet, it will have a capacity of about 230. It will have a Bar 12-21 location inside that will serve cocktails and barfood, as well as an outdoor patio.

But don’t start lining up yet — it’s not supposed to open until 2010 (!). But there are other California locations in the meantime to try. (Click here to find one.)
“We believe Indian Wells is an ideal area for Morton’s that will accelerate our growth in the affluent Indian Wells, Palm Desert and Palm Springs region of southern California,” said Thomas J. Baldwin, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Morton’s Restaurant Group, Inc., said in a statement. “Morton’s looks forward to bringing our legendary brand of fine dining to Indian Wells.”
