Panera Expansion Announced

panera.gifI heard about Panera at least a year before I had a chance to try it. And the buzz got to be so much in that year that I had to taste their sandwiches . . . As it turns out, I really liked it. The sandwiches and salads are tasty, albeit a tad expensive. And a bit high in calories in some cases.

I still like it though.

Anyway, when I saw this tidbit, I had to share.

Panera Bread is coming to Little Rock, Arkansas. Franchise owners Jim and Gaynell Magers, who operate the bakery-cafes under the names Oklahoma City Bakery and Traditional Bakery, will be expanding their operation into the city. The Magers operate 27 locations and were Panera’s first franchisee.

“We are excited about our expansion into the Little Rock area,” said Jim Magers in a statement. “We have enjoyed tremendous success in our current markets and look forward to the opportunity to broaden our reach and bring Panera to even more communities.”

Panera offers a variety of baked goods, as well as soups, salads and sandwiches. Their locations have free wi-fi access as well.
