Stuck for Gift Ideas? Try Restaurant.com

img-rdc-edsm.gifOne of my all-time favorite gift ideas is a gift certificate from the folks at http://www.restaurant.com/. Simply go to their site, punch in the zip code you want to search for, and it will pull up a plethora of local restaurants that offer gift certificates. They have $5, $10 and $25 denomination gift certificates available, you pay right online and print it from your printer within minutes. How easy could it be?

Oh yeah, the best part? The $25 gift certificates cost $10! No joke. They all have their own fine print, but nothing outlandish. Most is the standard “two entree minimum, excluding Saturday nights” sort of thing.

Besides using the site a lot for gift-giving ‘year round, I also use it when we want to go out to dinner as a family locally. Hey, you can’t beat a $25 gift certificate for $10.

P.S. And better still, when you’re ready to make a purchase, head on over to http://www.currentcodes.com/ first and see if there are any coupon codes for restaurant.com. They frequently have them available, and you can save oodles of money. The last time I stocked up, the code brought the $25 gift certificates down to $4 a piece… and who’s going to argue with that?
