Events to Promote Fiuli Venezia Guila of Italy Planned in New York


The Tourist Board of Friuli Venezia Giulia is hosting a weeklong series of events in New York City to raise awareness about their region of Italy, which is located in the north-eastern most part of the country and is less traveled than central and southern Italy. According to the press release: “The weeklong series of events dedicated to Friuli will introduce and promote the storied history and rich gastronomy of this unadulterated region to U.S. press, trade and consumers.”

  • Opening luncheon - Monday, November 12, 2007 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at San Domenico (between Broadway & 7th Avenue); 240 Central Park South
  • Friuli Venezia Giulia Tasting - Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 6:30-9:30 at Marriott Marquis Times Square; 1535 Broadway (between 45th & 46th Streets)
  • Friuli Venezia Giulia in focus - Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., presentation followed by lunch at Del Posto; 85 10th Avenue (between 15th & 16th Streets)
