My Kind of Saturday: Metro Cooking and Entertaining Show

I think my ideal day might include walking around a bunch of food vendors, getting samples and goodies, then maybe meeting a celebrity or two.

In fact, this is what the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show will offer Washington Nov. 3 and 4. Held at the Washington Convention Center, this $20 event sounds like it will be worth the expense. There will be all kinds of exhibitors peddling their wares and Paula Dean will present a show (seats cost extra). There will also be a wine and spirit tasting, cooking classes and children’s events for an additional fee.

An organizer said that last year, 7,500 people attended but they expect that to double this year. More than 100 vendors are booked and these shows are notorious for freebies, so bring a nice canvas bag and wear comfy shoes. You can buy your tickets here and remember to take the Metro green line to Mount Vernon Square/ 7th Street- Convention Center stop.

This show was a complete joke and disaster. Misewell have signed up to be part of a cattle herd. And having to wait in line an hour and a half to get in??? crazyness.
