Southern Hospitality in NYC

southern-hospitality.jpgGood ‘ol Southern Soul Food in the heart of Manhattan?  Sure, why not?  Armed with his good friends Trace Ayala and Eytan Sugarman, and, most importantly, his grandmother’s treasured recipes, pop/R&B star Justin Timberlake recently opened up Southern Hospitality in the heart of New York City.

A new BBQ joint serving up ribs, collard greens, fried chicken, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and other favorites that Justin himself grew up with, the down-home restaurant features an Elvis mural, Johnny Cash memorabilia and music from Memphis favorites.

While the recipes of his grandmother, Sadie Bomar, aren’t given up readily, the menu is all hers.  Apparently she didn’t relinquish the recipes too easily - Justin had to promise to mow her lawn for many years to come.
