Event: Chefs Gone Wild!
Fancy a fun, yet worthwhile, trip to New York City? Then you may want to check out the upcoming Chefs Gone Wild! event on Monday, June 11th. Celebrating the American Farmer, and benefitting Citymeals-on-Wheels, the event will feature some of the country’s most talented chefs, and highlight the bounty from American farmers.
As one of the 1,200 guests representing NYC’s culinary and social elite, you will taste the innovative dishes of star chefs committed to integrating local ingredients into their menus. From free-range to farm-fresh, from West coast to East, you will sample a variety of flavors with influences such as French, Vietnamese, and Italian all within the scope of Seasonal American cuisine. After an evening of the freshest ingredients available, grab a glass of wine or a signature cocktail and bear witness to the beauty that farmers and businessmen can share together, the night’s sky, as you dance under the stars at Rockefeller Center until midnight.
As we pay homage to sustainable cuisine in America, know that you will have sustained Citymeals-on-Wheels’ goal of feeding New York City’s homebound elderly. Last year’s event raised over $1 million, enough to provide more than 200,000 meals for our city’s invisible neighbors. We would be honored for you to join us this year as we are extremely proud to have grown for 25 years in the Big Apple, which at its core is all heart.
This year’s chefs include many popular names … Alfred Portale, Charlie Trotter, Michel Nischan and Alice Waters to name a few. The event is sponsored by Gourmet Magazine, and general admission tickets are $500/each. For additional information, please visit Citymeals-on-Wheels.
